We are looking for a business manager who can work alongside a multi-functional team to drive forward an exciting venture and help further develop life sciences as core to the success of the RD&E. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated research and development professionals to help unlock the potential of commercially driven health care research. The RD&E has recently been awarded a national contract to host one of five dedicated NIHR Patient Recruitment Centres (PRC) aimed at high throughput, late phase commercial clinical trials. This high profile prestigious initiative is designed to support the UK Life Sciences Industry with the centres becoming focal points for enrolling members of the public into cutting edge late phase commercial contract research studies and trials improving the speed and consistency of delivery. We are looking for a dynamic manager who has experience of clinical research delivery to play a key role in developing the RD&E PRC, stimulating business growth and providing assurance, tracking and monitoring of the ongoing performance of the centre. The post holder will be an inspirational leader and strong operational manager. RD&E is a highly rated teaching hospital, located at the heart of the South West in the UK. The Trust is developing a Joint Research Office with the University of Exeter and the PRC will complement the Trusts successful research portfolio which includes the NIHR Exeter Clinical Research Facility.
