About this role This role plays a key role in transforming BT's ways of working at scale through design thinking, agile and lean start up frameworks that enable multi discipline teams to deliver market leading digital products and services. Embeds a human-centred culture and model for rapid innovation and product development, continuous experimentation, measurement and improvement. You'll have the following responsibilities Continued evolution of the service design framework, tools and techniques. To continue to evolve the operating model for the cross-functional Design Squad. Coaching service design squads and assuring the service development lifecycle to ensure that all services are designed in accordance with agreed service design principles and processes. Scaling design thinking across Technology and CFUs via boot camps and consulting engagements to enable the delivery of consumer facing products and services in a human-centred way. Supporting the IT Transformation communication and engagement plan (speaking at events - internally and externally). Coaching and facilitating cross functional teams to deliver business outcomes that are human-centred and commercially viable. Leadership of partner service designers. You'll have the following skills & experience Subject matter expert in service design and design thinking. Very high and sophisticated interpersonal skills needed to lead multi -discipline and cross functional teams and co-create with challenging stakeholders. A Connected Leader who role models through their own behaviour and actions, embedding change by inspiring, coaching, holding them-self and others to account and setting the right cultural tone for IT and Technology/CFUs. Highly effective and diverse stakeholder management: demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships across challenging internal and external teams, senior stakeholders, consultants, architects, analysts, and Finance and HR personnel. Strong communicator and collaborator: ability to, articulate complex solutions clearly, and solicit the best work from cross functional teams.
