OVERVIEW To support the hygiene and process teams by carrying out production supporting tasks and hygiene requirements required to achieve production, quality and food safety targets. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Receive process chemicals on to site as well as further handling and storing as per requirements and keeping records of chemical movements via paperwork and SAP * Receive food processing aids on to site as well as further handling, preparation, storing and disposal as per requirements and keeping records of these movements * Be responsible for processing, QC measurement and routing molasses to make ingredients for TSL * Support process operations by knowing the plant and being able to take and understand process samples when requested * Carrying out production support in the specific areas but not limited to: liquid filter cloth changes, resin changes, Carbon transfer, dust plant filter changes, etc * Prepare and carry out Heat Exchanger cleaning treatment * Vessel deep cleaning as required by process/ Quality * Hygiene cleaning across site as required * Carry out specialist cleaning activities such as jetting and maintain the equipment for carrying out the tasks * To understand and run when required the process and fault finding of the remelt system * To understand and be responsible for safe systems of work such as Permit to Work (inc. HWP and CSP) and TBRA EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * GCSE or equivalent secondary school education ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES) * A good level of literacy, numeracy and computer skills * Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental systems in a production environment * Understanding of good manual handling techniques * Good team player with demonstrated commitment and flexibility * Able to work independently and lead a task to completion * Positive attitude to continuous improvement LOCATION OF ROLE * Thames Refinery, London At Tate & Lyle Sugars, the group's values are the cornerstone of our success.
