About The Role As our Junior Business Analyst, you`ll support the delivery of IS solutions via projects or programmes, NSSRs & other forms of requirement in the following key areas to Cadent Business Units: Process Change, People Change, Technology Change AND Business Transformation. Supporting BA Practice Lead you`ll work within the SD programme portfolio and gather the requirements of a project or program, and communicate them clearly all stakeholders, partners & teams in order to turn requests into change projects for delivery. Alongside you`ll work closely with business areas and other IS teams to identify how change can help support business strategy, within the framework of IS strategy - this could include challenge to Business Processes to ensure efficient and cost effective solutions are pursued. Key accountabilities of the Junior Business Analyst will include: Supporting the delivery of multiple (concurrent) projects by completing and updating project documentation; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships when required or directed to do so by the primary BA on the project. Providing SME Knowledge transfer across SD Team. Workshop facilitation - Leading the requirements workshops. Undertaking Systems / Data Analysis Supporting the primary BA in the production of project level analysis - producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, etc .) Collaborating closely with fulfilling teams e.g. developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process Eliciting and clearly documenting business and systems requirements including business process and system inefficiencies where identified. Creating all documentation at the correct level of detail & standard to endure future phases of each project is correctly directed to deliver fit for purpose solutions Managing and facilitating engagements with customers/stakeholders and ensuring all are kept up-to-date. Ensuring all necessary artefacts are produced throughout the project lifestyle, ensuring these are reviewed and approved by correct stakeholders, such as: - Investment/Short Form Paper - RAID Log - Business Requirements Document/Detailed Design Document Identifying any constraints or dependencies relating to the solution or delivery. To manage any risks associated with the project, understanding when these become issues, and escalate appropriately and suggest mitigating actions. To be managed centrally through a RAID log. Authoring respective documents, ensuring appropriate governance is applied, taking the document through version control, Responsible for resolving any business or technical queries relating to the requirements or design are answered and resolved, prior to completing the review and approval cycle with the appropriate stakeholders. Test scenarios, scripts and closure documentation Raising, tracking and escalating defects, where appropriate Supporting in ensuring the project and team plans are kept up-to-date Supporting Business Readiness with PIS and cutover/ health check tasks About You You'll possess the following qualifications, skills and experience: Experience in Utilities business or equivalent Experience of working within a programme/project management delivery framework Demonstrable knowledge, capability, skills and experience of Business Analysis processes and procedures including business requirements elicitation, processing mapping, analysis and critical thinking and workshop facilitation ISEB qualified or working toward equivalent Formal business analysis training is preferred Understanding of project and program management principles including various methods and techniques, Experience of supporting Senior Management Teams in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the business Ablility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Strong stakeholder management skills Excellent organisational skills Self-starte
