Job Description
The Regulatory Affairs Manager will be responsible for tracking the delivery of franchise obligations, ensuring client deadlines are met and collating evidence of implementation. You will gain a strong understanding of the Franchise Agreement in order to provide colleagues with sound advice on WCP's compliance with franchise obligations. You will be a champion for compliance across the business, and an ambassador for collaborative working with our client the Department for Transport. You will produce the periodic and quarterly Franchise Review packs and submit them to the Department for Transport. This will require engagement across the business in order to highlight risks and opportunities associated with the completion of franchise obligations. You will also oversee the maintenance of the company risk register, and lead on the reporting of the register at the periodic and quarterly Franchise Review meetings with the DfT. You will be responsible to the DfT Contract Managers for matters arising from these meetings, and will develop with them collaborative and responsive relationships. You will update the Handover Package, which is a suite of contractual and operational information relating to the Franchise, and provide copies to DfT when required. You will liaise with procurement colleagues in the Owning Group (First Trenitalia) and at WCP on Key Contracts, seeking DfT consent to amend or terminate where required. You will work with colleagues across the business to collate for the Department for Transport accurate evidence of our compliance with the Franchise Agreement and progress on the delivery of all Franchise Obligations. You will also manage compliance with obligations arising from the ORR and ensure that the business responds to consultations from the regulator in a timely and collaborative manner. WCP is currently subject to an Emergency Measures Agreement (EMA) with the Department for Transport. You may be required to manage the collection of evidence to demonstrate WCP's adherence to the EMA. For more information and responsibilities, please see the attached job description.
