Job Description

Teaching English to speakers of other languages is a delight. Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures and are very motivated to improve their English ability in reading, writing, speaking and listening. We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic and imaginative candidates to apply to our ESOL Department as a Lecturer. About the Role The role is based at our Salisbury campus. It is 0.5 permanent post which involves working one full day and three other mornings each week. There is also an opportunity to discuss additional hours available through a variable hours contract (VHL) teaching our 16- 19yr ESOL students who also attend in the afternoons. This position plays a key role in supporting both part time and 16-19yr ESOL students, helping them to achieve qualifications from Entry level to Level 2 in English. You will join our existing team of lecturers who work on our other campuses to prepare the schemes of work, lesson content and assessment plans. Together we develop resources and provide high-quality teaching and learning. About You We welcome applications from candidates with a relevant Level 4 (or above) qualification in English or a related subject. We are looking for applications from qualified teachers, candidates with a CELTA or DELTA qualification and/or candidates with experience of teaching English as a second language. We need someone who is passionate about their subject area, motivated to support student achievement and is focused and strives for constant improvement.
