Job Title: Head Chef - Restaurant in a Residential Village Job Term: Permanent Location: Near Leicester, Leicestershire Salary: £27,000 (starting salary) up to £32,000 when full capacity Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm, 6 Days a week Live in: No Job Number: 20-00110 Head Chef required for a Restaurant in a Residential Village near Leicester offering a fantastic work life balance. This high end residential complex are looking for a Head Chef to join this new and developing establishment. Offering a fine dining experience for up to 50 residential properties open for lunch service only. You will have full responsibility for developing the 3 course menu changing it on a regular basis. You may be required some evenings for residents requesting private dining. They must be able to run the kitchen with full knowledge of the food industry including, allergens, dietary requirements, health, safety, hygiene & cleanliness regulations and be able to advise colleagues/management on necessary precautions and implementations required to maintain the highest standards in food safety. It is also essential that you can control costs and create competitive product pricing to deliver profitability, efficiency and guest satisfaction, without compromising on quality or availability. The highest degree of professionalism is required in our up market establishment. What we need from you? - Maintaining the day to day running of the kitchen. - Liaising with purchasing companies for food orders - Developing new dishes and menus - Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety - Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food -Outstanding interpersonal skills are vital to be able to interact with and accommodate residents of a certain age whilst maintaining the highest degree of professionalism.
