Job Description
The Opportunity Like being at the centre of things? Then you'll love this job. Our Product Owners need to understand the business issues and challenges of the eCommerce sector, from online marketing to logistics. Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will need to gather and assess product requirements; help prioritise them and, as Product Owner in the Agile process, communicate them to the development teams. You will work within a scrum team of developers and QA engineers throughout the delivery process - ensuring stories and requirements are of a high quality. Based in our Newry office (albeit remotely for the moment!), this role will play a critical part in developing our products so they stay ahead of Retailer expectations and are held out as the leading products in the industry. So, no pressure then. Key Responsibilities : * Gather product requirements * Create well written user stories including defining acceptance criteria * Working with Product Managers & Business Analysts to create supporting documentation for Roadmap items * Prioritizing stories and ensuring alignment with the Product Roadmap * Identify constraints and dependencies between Scrum Teams * Ability to communicate with other Product Owners and Stakeholders across various business functions * Supporting Sprint Refinement and Planning sessions * Capable of using a variety of sources to help complete requirement definition * You would be expected to participate and support in demonstration of Sprint output to Stakeholders * Ability to manage unplanned work without impacting committed, high priority deliverables Desired Experience: * A Bachelor or Master'sdegree in a Computer Science, Engineering or Analytical discipline * Minimum 3 years' experience of working in the product delivery space in an agile / scrum environment * An appreciation of how product design works with and integrates into software development * A background in Retail eCommerce or logistics products would be a distinct advantage * Scrum Certified Product Owner or SAFE 4/5 certified would be beneficial Desired Behaviours: * You should want to work in a fast-paced eCommerce business and in a fast-paced environment * Excellent problem solving, communication and organisation skills * Self-motivated and results driven with a high level of initiative and desire to get things done * Passionate about product development with a willingness to introduce change and challenge existing processes and procedure What's on offer? * Career growth - a tailored learning & development programme, tuition assistance and professional certification. * Health & Wellbeing - dental & health insurance, reduced corporate gym membership, paid sick leave. * Work Life Balance - 25 days annual leave, flexible working, sports & social club. * Family - paid maternity & paternity leave, life assurance, income disability. * Financial - competitive salary, pension, stock option scheme, bike to work, travel TaxSaver, relocation assistance.
