Do you have a passion for clinical pharmacy and a desire to lead clinical service provision and development across a range of settings? If so an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated leader to support implementation of our vision of safe, effective, patient centred pharmaceutical care. Our clinical pharmacy service is being transformed to optimise the prescribing skills of pharmacists, supported by pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers and our use of electronic prescribing to support the delivery of pharmaceutical care. Your role will be to lead, manage and develop the clinical team at University Hospital Crosshouse to provide the best pharmaceutical care possible for the people of Ayrshire & Arran. Our patients are at the centre of everything we do. You will need to be outward looking and develop links with our primary care and community pharmacy teams in accordance with the principles of Achieving Excellence in Pharmaceutical Care. You will need to be able to nurture and develop our strong team of pharmacists and technicians during this period of change. You will need to have a strong patient focus and a broad range of clinical experience supported by postgraduate qualifications in clinical pharmacy and independent prescribing. Hours of work are 15.00 per week All staff participate in departmental rotas according to service need, as outlined in the contract associated with this post.
