NHS Ayrshire & Arran have led the way in Scotland for pharmacy and prescribing developments with the introduction of electronic prescribing and ongoing development particularly in relation to benefits realisation. An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Electronic Prescribing Support team alongside the current post-holder on a temporary basis. The role has an area wide remit offering the successful candidate the opportunity to further develop their leadership and management skills at a time when the team is working towards a major upgrade of HEPMA across all NHS Ayrshire & Arran sites. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will be required to participate in departmental rotas including HEPMA on call, weekends and extended hours.
