Role: Regional Plant & Cost Accounting Manager GCF: 30 Location: Maidenhead, (Wokingham from May 2020) Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Regional Plant and Cost Accounting Manager, located in Maidenhead initially then Pinewood from May 2020. The Consumer Global Services Centre of Excellence has responsibility for providing accounting services, business analytics and reporting for Finance colleagues in 22 countries across the Consumer EAME region. Johnson & Johnson Consumer EAME has sales of over $4bn and sells approximately 100 different brands. This is a new role within the GS COE Operations Accounting Team and provides a great opportunity to bring positive insights to the business. This Manager role is responsible for leading: + The Plant and Cost Accounting teams to bring synergies across the group with E2E Manufacturing accounting thinking. + Leading the teams to provide financial expertise on all aspects of manufacturing accounting and analysis ensuring compliance and business support to the Make organisation. Working closely with the other business support teams across the 10 EAME manufacturing plants. + Ownership of both day to day costing and Annual Standard Setting processes which includes owning the calendar planning and leading the cross functional team to ensure all deadlines are met. + Owns the reconciliation process for Finance Planning volumes + Owns the YOY cost-move analytics Key Responsibilities: + Build and maintain positive relationships with Regional Supply Chain organization and local Plant team + To provide financial expertise and business partnering to Supply Chain pillars (Plan, Source, Make) + Ensure the accounting accuracy for Inventory sections of TB: + Gross Inventory + Inventory Reserves + Direct GRIR + Manufacturing Variances + OCNIS (Other Costs Not In Standard) This requires process expertise, in depth knowledge and understanding of WWP + Identify, explore and deliver continual process improvements taking into account the underlying principles of Eliminate, Standardize, Automate and Manilarise. + Participate in projects and motivate changes. Promote best practices + Cooperate with other COE Teams (especially Compliance) and functions + To liaise on behalf of COE Organization with Projects Teams (e.g. STF) to ensure all inventory accounting flows are integrated into standard COE accounting and processes + Ensure cohesion within the plant and costing team for proactive collaborative problem solving. + Owner of regional processes for Inventory accounting including wall-to-wall stock count takes. + Review, analyse and comment on financial performance vs targets + Ensure compliance with internal (SOX) and external (PWC) audit requirements. + Plan and supply deliverables around Internal and External Audits. + Ensure strong internal controls, in order to achieve "adequate" audit ratings. + Accurate and timely month-end reporting. Meet all corporate and regional deadlines. People Management: + Lead and develop the team to deliver their goals and objectives, ensuring all deliverables are met to a high standard and all CoE deadlines are adhered to + Champion an environment of teamwork, innovation and sharing of ideas. Qualifications Education: Fully qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent, with solid financial experience. Experience and Skills: Required: + Fluent English + Strong Financial Accounting skills (US GAAP desirable) + Knowledge of SAP, As400 systems, Excel + Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required + Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-cultural work environment + Challenge status quo and process improvement approach Preferred: + Manufacturing/Plant and cost accounting + Knowledge of SAP, Excel and J&J systems (including AS400) + Familiar with Johnson & Johnson worldwide procedures and practices.
