Job Description
This Vacancy We are looking for a suitably qualified mammographer to join our friendly and motivated breast imaging team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. About Us The breast imaging team includes four Consultant Radiologists, a skill mix of Clinical Imaging Specialists, Advanced Practitioners, Radiographers and Assistant practitioners. The department is part of the Radiology department and has a close working relationship with the department of surgery. Our busy breast imaging service delivers high quality breast imaging, whilst providing excellent quality patient care and experience. The service performs approximately 20,000 screening mammograms per year as part of the NHS breast screening programme together with imaging for the breast symptomatic service. The directorate scored 'outstanding' in a recent CQC inspection and has gained ISAS accreditation. The directorate is committed to training and development and encourages all aspects of CPD and role extension/advanced practice. The service benefits from having a training lead to co-ordinate all aspects of training. Who we are looking for We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate individual. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. HCPC registration is required for this post. Applicants will be required to hold a BSc Radiography/DCR and a post graduate certificate in mammography.
