We are creating a new entity focused upon accelerating the investment and development of digital solutions which support the asset lifecycle and will position Arcadis as a digital front runner in the fields of digitized asset management, cities and mobility. Our focus is upon accelerating our ability to bring highly scalable digital propositions quickly and seamlessly to both existing and new Arcadis clients across the globe. We have a clear vision that will enable us to rapidly scale our existing digital capabilities and innovate based on the identified underserved demand in the market, by creating industry leading products, platforms and solutions. Our strategy to become more digitally focused has already seen the acquisition of two digital asset management companies to build on our existing digital capabilities from the Arcadis technology division, all of which will form the foundations of this new digital entity. 1. The Opportunity The Maximo Application Support Consultant provides guidance, expertise and technical troubleshooting for our Maximo-based Industry Solutions. They will provide technical and functional guidance with excellent problem solving capabilities. Core responsibilities include: Defect Identification and Diagnosis: Fast and expert identification of defects with the ability to ascertain the full problem context by liaising with the customer and in doing so providing exceptional levels of customer service. High level of Ownership: Maximo Application Support Consultants will demonstrate a high level of ownership for technical problems assigned to them. They will be tenacious in their approach, expert at navigating the various relationships in complex business domains and demonstrating a positive attitude at all times. Change Management Lifecycle: They will be able to work with our customers to identify changes which will add value, help design and implement those changes understanding how to obtain sponsorship both internally and from the customer. 2. Key Deliverables Fast issue diagnosis and resolution Provide notifications and updates which accurately identify the progress of assigned defects and problems Manage incidents from the initial investigation stage through analysis, work arounds, implementation and resolution keeping all parties fully informed during the process Proficient management of defects, problems and incidents using our tools (Slack, JIRA, Confluence, Zendesk). Effective communication at all times 3. Key Relationships, Collaborations and Connections This role will report into a line manager within the Solution Architect and Technical Delivery sub domain It will collaborate closely with other sub domains with the Solutions Domain and Infrastructure Engineering Services: o Project Managers o Technical Architects o Solution Architects o Infrastructure Engineers o Scrum Masters o Industry Solution Principals, Professionals and Associates o Scrum Team Members 4. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, worked with IBM Maximo and have a very good understanding of all elements within the application stack. Requirements : Fluent in English Language Graduate education in a relevant degree or subsequent applicable work history Professional experience supporting IBM Maximo in a technical support role Deep understanding of the IBM Maximo Application stack including understanding of how each component communicates, log files, tuning considerations, setup and troubleshooting SQL and query tuning knowledge using of these RDBMS: DB2, Oracle and SQL Server Understanding of networking and application infrastructure; DNS, Active Directory, TCP-IP, HTTPS, Timeouts, Web Servers (Apache, HAProxy, IIS etc) Desirable Experience and Qualifications: Experience of agile methodology: SCRUM and Continuous Integration Experience using project collaboration tools such as Atlassian Confluence & JIRA Excellent written and oral presentation skills, including conveying technical information Awareness of modern container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and LXD Exposure to scripting i.e. Shell / Go / Python Awareness of CI systems like Jenkins / GitLab / Mercurial and experience with creating CI pipelines (Pipelines-as-code) for Jenkins or GitLab 5.
