Strategy and the Office of the CEO for Consumer Healthcare at GSK is a newly created team, with a significant mandate as we form the new JV with Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Our role is to define and evolve the enterprise strategy, drive strategic initiatives, and partner with the Consumer Healthcare Leadership Team to drive a significant organisational transformation agenda. Led by the Head of Strategy and Office of the CEO who sits on the Consumer Healthcare Leadership Team and reports directly to CEO Consumer Healthcare, the team will have three key areas of focus: Strategic Planning, Strategic Initiatives and Office of the CEO. As Strategic Planning Manager, you will support the development and deployment of the strategy for GSK Consumer Healthcare. Reporting into the Strategic Planning Lead, you will be an agile member of the Strategy and Office of the CEO team and play a major role in developing strategic thinking and translating our choices into aligned business strategy. Here's Jooyong Lee, Head of Strategy & Office of the CEO, talking about why it's a great time to join the team: This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: * Deliver fact-based, insightful analyses to enable strategic choices, including where to play and how to win for GSK Consumer Healthcare * Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to examine major changes in the external environment, consumer/technology trends, competitor insights, and GSK's performance trajectory * Develop and own quantitative models to translate strategic intent into quantified ambition and resource allocation choices * Support the Annual Strategic Planning process with analysis, facilitation, and consolidation with guidance from Strategic Planning Lead * Provide thought leadership via high quality strategy papers for both external and internal audiences * Support delivery of high profile strategic initiatives as and when required, as an agile member of the Strategy and Office of the CEO team Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: * Relevant experience in top-tier management consulting firm * Strong problem solving skills - ability to develop a structured approach to complex problems, develop hypothesis and execute according to plan * Excellent analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to build smart models (complex or simple) and synthesise insights and conclusions * Financially adept while not necessarily expert * Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - ability to craft compelling storylines and communicate complex messages clearly and succinctly * Strong interpersonal skills to partner with variety types of stakeholders * Ability to operate within ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment * Team-oriented collaborator with strong work ethic and appetite to constantly learn and develop Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: * Experience in consumer healthcare, consumer packaged goods, and/or pharmaceutical industry * International or global experience APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: 30 June 2020 Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert.
