We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Governments sales team in our London Headquarters. This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to further a career in a commercial, sales-driven role. * Work for a global and diverse company * Offices in central London and flexible work hours * Work with renowned governmental bodies and trade organizations across Europe * Opportunity to progress into senior sales roles or consulting The successful candidate will demonstrate commercial awareness as well as a keen interest in, and knowledge of, consultative sales. The role You will be responsible for generating new business sales by targeting public sector organisations across your territory. We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual, who will take a pro-active approach to reaching out and engaging with prospective clients. You should have an interest in learning about public sector organisations, in understanding their objectives & activities, and in exploring how our research capabilities at Euromonitor can support their work. Youll have the tenacity, drive and persuasiveness to find the right contacts, understand the clients issues, and match and apply the benefits in your solution. The main purpose is to increase revenues from public sector clients in your territory by: * Developing a strong knowledge of Euromonitor International product suite * Identifying public sector organisations within your territory and developing a strategy to target them * Networking within organisations to find decision makers, budget holders, influencers, etc * Identifying new public tenders that will fit within Euromonitor research capabilities * Managing the whole tendering process * Organising telephone demonstrations of online systems to key contacts * Setting up relevant sales meetings with prospects to establish the relationship and develop business opportunities * Attending key conferences and exhibitions * Negotiating and closing sales Requirements To succeed in this role you will need: * To be target-oriented and challenge-driven * To have 1-3 years of experience in consultative sales or a client facing role * To be willing to pro-actively reach out to clients by phone * To be willing to invest time and efforts for long-term benefit, rather than focus on quick-wins * Questioning skills, agile & creative thinking to understand clients, identify needs and solutions * Good communication, organisation and presentation skills * Confidence in face to face and telephone sales negotiations * Ability to create and build relationships * Ideally, experience of business information sales, selling to public sector or academic sector is desired * Commercial awareness Benefits Why work for Euromonitor?
