Job Description
We're looking to hire two Senior Full-Stack Engineers, working in the newly formed Crisis and Incident Response Squad here at Cutover. (Role based from London, or with travel to London 4-5 times per month.) The Company At Cutover, we're focused on helping Enterprise teams move quickly with confidence. We'vecome a long way in a short space of time: doubling our global team to 65 people, bringing onboard multiple top-tier Enterprise clients (including some of the world's largest Financial Services institutions), and having raised our Series A investment round all in the past 12 months. What's even more exciting to us, is that our Cutover journey is just getting started! The Role Since Cutovers launch, we've provided a platform for clients to plan, rehearse and execute incredibly complex projects in enterprise environments. We've tackled everything from organisational mergers and IPO's to cloud migrations and software releases. The next goal for us is to help clients orchestrate intricate projects even when they arise suddenly and present major disasters. We're excited to be founding a new squad, focussed on helping customers navigate their Crisis Management and Incident Response in platform. This team will be building new functionality, features, integrations, and UI's that allow customers to quickly orchestrate and execute responses to problem events. We're looking to hire two Senior Full-Stack Engineers into that team, both will be Full Stack and primarily working on building new functionality into the platform in Ruby on Rails and Javascript. We expect that one of the two Engineers will be more frontend leaning, and the other more backend focussed - although we'e not committed to that set up. Both Engineers will have the opportunity to contribute to the design work and get involved with our AWS Infrastructure. What tech stack do we have here at Cutover? Our Cutover Enterprise platform consists of a responsive AngularJS (and increasingly ReactJS) frontend talking to a Ruby on Rails API, hosted on Amazon Web Services. Our Frontend Engineers are primarily working with JavaScript and HTML/CSS, backend is mostly Rails, and our automated testing is done using Jasmine and RSpec, with Protractor being used for end-to-end testing. What we'd like you to bring to the table... * You're a passionate Senior Full Stack Engineer who's excited to work with our overall tech stack. You'll have knowledge of both Javascript and Ruby on Rails. * If your work is generally more frontend focussed we'll be looking for you to be a technical authority on all things Angular and React, as well as having a keen eye for design. You'll know how to make a product look slick, as well as being user friendly. * If backend is your specialty, we'll be looking for someone with a comprehensive knowledge of Ruby on Rails and Rspec who is also able to support our Cloud Engineers in configuring and maintaining our AWS infrastructure. * You're excited about bringing extra layers of shine and polish to products; you're rigorous in the way you test features and you're committed to making the product you're building the best it can possibly be (you'll be someone who aims to build strong relationships with Test Engineers from day one). * You're both a mentor and a lifelong-learner at heart: you always have time to chat things through with junior engineers, you want to throw ideas around with your team-mates, and you're always keen to hear new opinions and upskill in new technologies. * You have a desire to be more "commercial" than the average SaaS company engineer: we want our engineers to get involved with client-facing work and problem solving on occasion (it makes sense to know how people are using the thing we've built, right?)
