Job Description

The Consulting Engineer supports BitSight sales teams and customers by providing technical expertise in BitSight products and security ratings, and domain expertise in applying use cases. The Consulting Engineer provides pre-sales consulting to BitSight customers, and may participate in post-sales, topic-specific working sessions. This Consulting Engineer will be located in London. Responsibilities : The BitSight Consulting Engineer provides both pre-sales and post-sales consulting to BitSight strategic customers. The Consulting Engineer is a deep technical resource supporting our sales teams by: * Being an expert in the BitSight Platform * Being a thought leader in Security Ratings * Conducting Proofs of Concept (POCs) * Supporting other technical aspects of sales, in partnership with sales teams The Consulting Engineer is also a trusted source of information and moderate expertise in Third Party Risk, working with customers to provide guidance on establishing and maintaining mature programs, utilizing security ratings, automation and ongoing monitoring. The Consulting Engineer understands and can communicate the value of BitSight in the Third Party Risk process. The Consulting Engineer may provide informal working sessions for selected customers, evaluating current program maturity, while incorporating subject matter expertise to transform the program through security ratings, automation and ongoing monitoring. These working sessions will assist in moving the customer forward with a more mature program. The role of the Consulting Engineer in ongoing program development activities will be to provide: * BitSight specific guidance * Guidance specific to the advanced maturity concepts, such as security ratings, automation, ongoing monitoring and other transformative program concepts Qualifications: * Comfortable interacting with people * German and English language skills are required and French language skills would be a plus. * Team-first attitude * Excellent written skills * Excellent verbal skills * Able to think quickly and creatively * Understanding of security and networking terms and concepts * Proficiency in the risk and/or security spaces highly desirable * 2-3 years of technical security software or risk technical sales or consulting background * 2-3 years of sales/system engineering/solutions architect experience in security or risk highly desirable * Potential travel - around 30-40% of your time * Minimum bachelor's degree
