Job Description Please No Agencies ***PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS HOME BASED WITH UK WIDE TRAVEL AND POTENTIALLY INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL*** ROLE OVERVIEW: * Expand the reach of Northgate Public Services and its mission critical solutions into the Transport sector * Develop individual account strategies both short and long term to maximise opportunities within the designated/prospective customer(s). * Achieve agreed targets for orders, revenue and profitability within the designated account(s) * Personal responsibility for the development of operational and strategic relationships at all levels with personnel within the customer(s)/prospect. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: The Key Indicators will be; Business Development and Account Management Business Relationships. Pipeline Development and Management * To adhere to the Northgate Public Services bid management process * Work professionally with senior management to ensure that any bid/proposal is risk managed, profitable and meets with the Company's long-term strategy. * Provide accurate monthly forecasting of business opportunities within the designated account(s)/prospects using predefined formats. * Liaise with all appropriate agencies, partners and suppliers of Northgate Public Services in a professional manner to ensure that Northgate Public Services and the customers expectations are met. * Acquire and maintain knowledge of Northgate Public Services Safety Division's value propositions, services and solutions together with the products, services and solutions of the wider Northgate Public Services Group. * Acquire and maintain knowledge of Northgate Public Services competitor activities, products, solutions and services. * Develop an extensive knowledge of the prospect/customer's organisation, business plans, budgets and goals. * Gain awareness of all major sales opportunities in the prospect(s) account(s). * Accurate sales information and forecasts are available at all times. * Aware of major opportunities in the account(s), which arise from the activities of other solutions verticals within Northgate Public Services, partners, or suppliers. * Ensure order input, revenue and margin targets are achieved. * Ensure Northgate Public Services is perceived by the prospect(s)/customer(s) as a business partner who can be trusted to deliver and to protect the prospects/customer's interest. * Excellent business relationships exist with the prospects/customers senior management combined with an awareness of the internal politics in the account(s).
