We are looking for proactive, reliable, resilient and passionate Support Workers with a 'can do' attitude to work in our Learning Disabilities projects; Patrick Court in Burton Latimer. Patrick Court is our project for adults with autism and learning disabilities. We're looking for dedicated, enthusiastic Support Workers to continue the high standard of support at Patrick Court. Can you work in health and social care? Helping and caring for others must come naturally to you. You will be outgoing, values-led and motivated and will work as part of a team to help bring the best out of vulnerable people and keep them safe. There's never been a greater time to work in Social Care! Every day will be different. But I can assure you, it will be rewarding; especially in these times where it's people like you keeping the nation ticking. No two days will be the same! Support could be anything from painting, reading, watching a movie cooking or even watching football, cleaning, personal care e.g. dressing, washing, shaving, going to the toilet. But, ultimately it must be the service users choice; obviously staying safe and engaged whilst socially distancing. Although the role is challenging, it is highly rewarding at the same time as the little things you do every day will have life-changing results for the people you support. Please note that due to the needs of the customers, there may be an element of moving and handling involved in the role; as such, you will need to be willing and able to undertake these duties. Don't worry if you don't have previous experience! Full training will be provided to help you gain the skills needed to succeed in the role. As an added bonus, you will be paid to train - how good is that! Shift times will be reliant on the needs of the service user. We will have a variety of shifts to fit around childcare and other commitments so don't worry if you can't work on a rota basis. Shifts available will include early, late shifts and night working.
