Job Description
Harmonic Finance are proud to be recruiting as sole retained agent for one of the globe's professional services success stories. A sub-brand within a multi-billion dollar group, the business provide a range of consulting services covering technology and engineering and have proved to be remarkably resilient to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic due to a long-term project order book and an already forward-thinking flexible working culture. The role Reporting into a hugely impressive CFO (previously recruited previously by Harmonic), the successful candidate will balance hands-on technical knowhow covering SQL and Accounting/ERP systems, with the ability to plan and communicate in a functional and strategic manner. The organisation are seeking to revolutionise how they utilise data as an organisation, while also ensuring the day-to-day efficient running of their systems (supporting over 1000 colleagues globally). The role will work internally, focussing on the business as opposed to providing services to their clients. Travel requirements are therefore minimal. Duties : * Oversee all aspects of the Group's ERP Platform (Core Financials, Time Recording, Planning, Systems Interfaces). * Develop and deliver (hands-on) a strategy to supercharge the use of MIS data within the organisation. * Identify business improvements and risks relating to data and provide creative and strategic solutions. * Define and agree training requirements and delivery solutions. * Manage two direct junior reports. * Budget management * Support ongoing projects (e.g. HR systems interface) What you need (Essential): * Strong Finance-focussed ERP skills both at a technical and functional level with experience of one or more of the following systems: Sage 200, Exchequer, Kerridge, Dynamics NAV, Exact, Infor, SunSystems, SAP Business One, NetSuite, BrightPearl, Xero, Coda, Agresso or Access Dimensions. * Database architecture, development and modelling * SQL, SSIS (for report development and API interfaces to/from other business systems) * The ability to communicate process improvement and data strategy in a functional (i.e. top-level, 'non techy' way). * Experience of supporting the day-to-day maintenance of a system and handling day-to-day helpdesk queries (directly as well as delegated to team members) * Strong process improvement experience.
