Job Description
Description Every day, we're building new AWS infrastructure for businesses of all sizes. We work with customers across a number of sectors, including e-commerce, media, healthcare, and fintech. The infrastructures we manage support millions of pounds of transactions every month. In this role you'll take the lead on customer engagements, understanding requirements, assessing existing architecture and processes, and making recommendations. You'll direct and support your colleagues in the sales process, and in delivering solutions. You'll also get your hands dirty in technical solution delivery from time to time. You'll advocate for The Scale Factory both in client organisations and in the technical community. Requirements Primarily you'll need experience designing production solutions using Amazon Web Services, ideally at a skill level equivalent to AWS Solutions Architect (Professional) - if you don't hold that certificate, we'll need you to attain it quickly. Familiarity with other cloud vendors' offerings would be beneficial but is not a hard requirement. You'll need some prior experience of consultancy, and be comfortable visiting client offices to meet their teams. You'll be able to communicate both in verbal and written form with stakeholders at all levels in client organisations, both technical and non-technical. You'll need to be comfortable managing your own schedule. You'll be required to stay familiar with emerging technology trends, taking the time for self-directed learning on new tools and methods.
