Our client, a global leading telecommunication company, is looking for a Transport Design Technical Lead to join their business in the UK. Position Title Transport Design Technical Lead Position Type Contract Start Date October 2018 Duration 3 months rolling Location Reading Contact: Kresimir Zebic | +49 (0) 89 23 88 98 55 Under the direction of the Technical Director be responsible for the Design, Testing & Acceptance of the access transport network programme. Responsibilities: * Support the Design function for the Access transport network. * Ensure the System Introduction (SI) processes are followed, including high- level designs, detailed designs and guidelines. * Establish the access transport test bed and associated system introduction processes to provide end-to-end testing capabilities. * Develop the design strategy and taking into account the various product and toolset roadmaps. * Ensure the all roadmaps are current and made available to all dependent suppliers. * Assess technical risk to the access transport network. * Represent Transport Design on the Technical Committee. Qualifications: * CCNP, CCIE, HCNP, HCIE certification is preferred. * Proven experience as Design Manager in access transport. * Ability to design a large network with complex network technology (scale to 50 routers with MPLS L2/L3 VPN) * Good knowledge of MBNL Transport Network, its processes and toolsets. * Experience with network design documentation (HLD/LLD/DD) * Design and commissioning experience with routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS and BGP), SR (Segment routing). * Previous experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco/Nokia/Huawei routers. * Detailed understanding of LTE migration, re-parenting processes and ability to develop workflows across a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high-volume migration programme * Good understanding of RAN technologies. * Good understanding of BT MEAS Direct Ethernet and IPVPN product portfolio. * Proven knowledge of the UK Telecommunication industry. * Experience and knowledge in network deployment and delivery projects. * Experience working in multicultural environment. * Experience managing sub-contract resource finance. * To have the ability to deliver, work and manage a multi-functional team in a challenging, pressurized and fast moving environment. * Full UK Driver's Licence. * Fluent in English (written and spoken) and has the work rights for the UK If you know of anyone within your network who may also be interested in this position, would you please forward this 'Email & Role' to them.
