Job Description
Care Assistant Reading/Surrounding Area 10 - 14 per hour and Travel time paid Care Assistant Job Purpose: To enable service users to remain in their own homes by providing the support and care needed to help them achieve maximum independence. To work "with" clients to achieve outcomes, rather than working "for" them. To encourage clients to regain their confidence all the while promoting their self-respect and dignity To provide the highest standard of care provision every day of the year Main Duties and Responsibilities: To undertake duties as identified in the client's care plan. To assist the client to remain safe and secure at home. To help the client to look after their own health To appropriately record and report any changes in circumstances in the client's care plan, social or health condition to the line manager. To comply with the risk assessment and to be responsible for notifying your line manager of any changes you think may be necessary. To notify the office daily of any changes made to the programme of work To ensure that your calls are electronically recorded by signing in and signing out of your visit. To be accountable for your work practice and take responsibility for maintaining and improving your knowledge and skills. To respect the rights of clients, and to strive to establish and maintain their trust and confidence, and that of their families.
