Role Overview & Responsibilities As the Test Automation Architect you will be the advocate for automated testing throughout the stack and across our platform. Working closely with the Development Management Team and Head of Quality Practice you will act as a technical lead on test automation,developingsolutionsanddrivinginnovationto ensure the testingautomation'sstrategygoalsaremet. By providing strong leadership and technicalguidance you willhave a solid view of thebigger picture of business, technology, and testing strategyand practices enabling all teams to improve qualityand our speed to market. In this role you will: * Contribute to the technical leadership and strategic direction for the testing organisation. * Evolve ourtesting architecture and automation harness, with a focus onintegration, performance and resiliency testing. * Evaluate, implement the necessary frameworks/tools/languages to aid automation in both monolithic and micro-service architecturecontexts. * Establish astableandscalableautomationframeworkforourAPI andUI platforms,enablingteams to improvetheir test automation reliability and coverage. * Architectanddevelopautomationinfrastructurethatcanspanourdevelopmentdeliverymodels. * Continuously improve and drive maintainability in any chosen frameworks/tools. * Have a focus onimproving the maintainability, increase automated test coverage and decreasetest execution times. * Support theHead of Quality Practicein achieving the strategic goals for the department by providing technical support and guidance. * Use data and reporting todevelopsolutionsanddriveforwardinnovationtoensure theautomation strategicgoalsaremet. * SupportSoftware Testersthroughtraining,mentoringandproblemsolving in test automation. * Provide technical know-how, documentation and training to Software Engineers and Test Engineer across the department. * Workwithcross-functionalteamsand stakeholdersintestautomationactivitiesacrosstheorganization. * Communicate,coordinateandalignautomationstrategywiththeengineeringteammembers,makerecommendationstoimprovereliability,performance,bestpracticesandprocesses. * Effectivelycontribute to the departmentprocesses, practices, use of tools and technology, by applying soft skills such as effective communication and mentoring.
