Del Monte - is a global leading vertically integrated producer and marketer of high quality fresh fruit and vegetables, juices and preserved foods. Part of a global, flexible and hugely successful company we are looking for reliable and committed individuals to join our team based at our Fresh Cut Fruit warehouse in Corby, Northants. We are looking for applications from candidates who have previous experience working within a food/chilled factory or warehousing environment. High standards of hygiene must be observed and you will need to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and your colleagues at all times. Reporting to the Goods-In Coordinator/Shift Manager your main duties will include: Managing, motivating and training Warehouse Operatives; ensuring all tasks are understood and carried out efficiently and effectively in line with Company policies. Ensuring all customer orders are picked and loaded correctly both in line with Company and customer requirements. Maintaining the correct amount of raw materials in designated areas adhering to strict stock rotation procedures. Undertaking all relevant checks, ensure they are performed, documented and in line with Company and legislative requirements to ensure that products meet both the customer specification and the requirements of food safety legislation. Communicating with all relevant departments including Production, Planning and QA to ensure any issues can be addressed immediately. Using Company IT systems. Maintaining high standards of hygiene and Health and Safety within your area of responsibility to ensure product quality is maintained, and to minimise accidents and health problems to employees. The Candidate: The ideal candidate will have experience in a chilled/food factory or warehouse environment in a similar position. You must be able to demonstrate man-management skills and have a good all round general education including carrying basic figure work. Experience of driving a Fork Lift Truck would be useful although training would be given. You should have an understanding of food safety legislation and Material Requirement Planning systems. Being flexible and reliable the right candidate will also have a pro-active approach to carrying out work activities. You must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, have excellent communication and English language skills and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. You will have a methodical and organised approach to work, both individually and as part of a team. Good IT skills will also be an advantage.
