SOYL a division of Frontier Agriculture Ltd is a fast growing business that provides UK farmers with data and reports to assist with efficient crop production. An opportunity has arisen to join our team in Diss/EYE on a permanent full time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out soil sampling and associated in-field services for our farmer clients across the Cambridgeshire area. Often working alone, you will be self motivated, organised and have previous experience involving customer facing activities. This is a physically demanding role, and applicants must have a full UK driving licence, ideally including trailer licence, and must be accustomed to working outside throughout the year. You will need to take responsibility for a vehicle and equipment and show willingness to be trained in how to operate simple software in the field and complete paperwork accurately. You will be able to communicate effectively with customers and will have a positive attitude towards health and safety, colleagues and customers. Responsibilities \t * Field services including GPS soil sampling \t * Handling of digital data and maps \t * Excellent communication via phone and on-farm, with customers and other stakeholders \t * Management and planning of bookings and workload \t * Active participation with the health and safety culture to fit with SOYL's national policy. \t * Basic ATV and hardware/software maintenance \t * Participate with other operational activities when appropriate. Requirements \t * Strong customer focus \t * Strong communication skills both over the phone and face to face \t * Must hold a full UK driving licence ideally with a trailer licence included \t * Able to work outside in all conditions \t * IT literate \t * Proven attention to detail \t * Prior experience in a soil sampling role would be advantageous but is not essential.
