Location - Glasgow, Scotland Salary - 70,000 - 85,000 Experience - Must have 7+ years of experience in the relevant field. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will optimise the data architecture, data models and database including designing, developing and deploying improved conceptual, logical and physical data artefacts. You will define data standards including design patterns. Improves the performance, availability and scalability of the physical database, including database access layer, database calls and SQL statements. You will develop data and metadata policies and procedures for structural design and development to build, maintain and leverage the data model, ensuring integration with the corporate data standards. Key activities: Responsible for driving data solutions for service requirements by planning and managing data architecture design efforts Apply industry recognised best practices, compliance standards and techniques to prevent/minimise data redundancies across the organizations Create, manage and maintain their subject area data warehouse/ record of reference Create and implement data management strategy for achieving/maintaining high data quality Ensure that the new systems and/or applications adhere to existing data management practices policies and procedures Identify and ensure the resolution of data quality issues such as uniqueness, integrity and accuracy, consistency and the completeness in a cost-effective and timely fashion Work collaboratively with the solution and domain architects to develop methods for synchronizing data entering company systems Functional Skills: Ability to tie together solutions across systems Business acumen Business process modelling Facilitation Knowledge of required technologies (including 3rd party solutions) Statistical modelling Understanding of future technologies Technical Skills: Big data analytics - HAVeN / HADOOP / Autonomy / Vertica / Cloudera / SAS / Mongo / Cassandra Data architecture & modelling Data warehouse technologies Master data management Data modelling tools - ERWIN Data visualization - tableau / Qlikview / SAP BO Integration technologies - Tibco / Informatica / CAS Service orientated architecture (SOA) Responsibilities: Our client is among the leading professional services networks in the world.
