Student Plant Scientist - Work Placement

Job Description
The Company and role: Jones Food Company is Europes largest vertical farm, utilising hydroponics to grow herbs and leafy greens (amongst others). The Technical team is looking for a university student/graduate to take part in a 3-month work placement over the summer. There could be opportunity for the individual to come onboard full-time directly after the placement or after completion of their studies. Duties and Responsibilities: * Support research and development trials * Responsible for building datasets of trial data * Able to analyse data to determine trial results and trends * Support and strategise with the technical team in regards to future trials and/or adjustments to existing trials * Collaborate and share findings with team members in other departments Requirements The successful candidate will be in their final year of their Bachelor's level degree, or preferably Masters level or higher, in Plant/Agricultural Sciences or similar. Prior experience working within the agricultural/food industry is desirable. A right to work in the UK is essential. To be successful in this position, the candidate will need applicable technical knowledge, be a fast learner with strong attention to detail. You will also be forward thinking with a proactive attitude and willing to share knowledge, where possible.
