Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, the Learning Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of the full range of learning and development solutions for the client groups. Responsible for both the learning strategy and for the operational delivery, the role covers the development of a wide range of solutions to meet business objectives with demonstrable return on investment. In addition, the Learning Business Partner is responsible for evolving the businesses management practice and management development offering, ensuring that initiatives are relevant, aligned with the wider groups programmes, future focused and market leading. Credibility, pragmatism and integrity is key to this role, as is the ability to confidently build relationships. Key Responsibilities * Work closely with the Head of L&D, the HR Business Partners and business leadership teams to define and regularly review the learning agenda to ensure we remain future focused, commercial and agile * Ensure there is a focus on remote learning during the current climate * Manage complex stakeholder relationships to clearly understand the businesses short and long term strategic learning needs; to improve operational and strategic agility and drive performance * Manage the entry level ASPIRE, Graduate and Internship programmes * Manage relevant talent development programmes * Develop and implement business mentoring approaches across a wide range of employee levels * Coach and line manage the Learning Associate and ASPIRE trainees * Maintain oversight of the business induction programmes ensuring that all new starters attend within the first 60 days of their employment with Close Brothers * Lead the design and delivery of appropriate learning solutions including product, technical and behavioural development using our 70-20-10 frame-work and our on-line academy, as well as practical and engaging workshops * Liaise with 3rd party partners and internal subject matter experts to keep learning content up to date, relevant and innovative * Manage the learning and development budgets for multiple business areas in partnership * Measure the impact and return on investment of a range of learning activity, continuously reviewing the quality of learning initiatives * Drive the utilisation of the Apprenticeship Levy for client groups; ensuring that professional qualifications are well managed and funded by the levy Developing Our People * As a line manager, you will be responsible for increasing productivity and developing performance through coaching, mentoring and developing your team members. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback. Risk & Compliance * As appropriate to the role, ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
