Job Description The opportunity is to work within the organisations Global Consulting Practice which is a key component in how the organisation delivers additional value to clients. Using their collective industry insight, technology expertise, and consulting know-how, they partner with enterprises worldwide to deliver integrated end-to-end IT enabled business transformation services. By tapping our worldwide pool of resources - onsite, offshore and near-shore, our high calibre consultants leverage solution accelerators and practice capabilities, balanced with our knowledge of local market demands, to enable enterprises to effectively meet their business goals. Skills and Background Required; Typically, Infrastructure Consultants will have a background in technical infrastructure implementation and support, progressing to manage technical individuals and led solution design and architecture definition engagements. They will have extensive Pre-Sales experience and ultimately have developed commercial propositions and be strongly business oriented to enable them to perform advisory consulting to senior executive level. As a consultant you will provide advisory services to customers that address business problems utilising people, process and technologies to construct solutions. Those advisory services typically involve education and implementation of methodologies ("how to"), technology selection and maturity improvement solutions. You will have experience and knowledge of delivery including architecture, design, engineering, implementation and project management and will now be advising others on best practice in these areas. All candidates will exhibit and be able to demonstrate the following competencies of Infrastructure with an In-depth knowledge in one of the following areas Consolidation, Virtualization, Utility Computing, Cloud Services, Workplace Transformation, Server Storage Consolidation and Maturity Improvement. Experience of data centre, server and end user computing infrastructure functions, processes and technologies in a heterogeneous and dynamic environment. Being able to clearly and concisely articulate business solutions incorporating approaches such as Consolidation, Virtualization, Utility Computing, Cloud Services and Maturity Improvement. Implementation of methodologies such as ITIL, Prince2, CMMI, CoBIT etc including the development of bespoke methodologies incorporating concepts of some or all.
