Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support. We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport. Job Description People are asking us if we have stopped recruiting in the current crisis? the answer is a definite "NO" we are still very keen to hear from people who are interested in making a career out of their compassion, kindness and common sense. We appreciate that you may not be able to work full time but that you have at least 10-15 hours a week you can devote to working with the elderly. If you can work a mixture of day shifts and evening shifts with some weekend shifts thrown in every other weekend then we will be very happy to discuss the role with you. We do insist that you have your own transport because you will need this to travel between clients and also to take clients to hospital appointments, shopping and social events, it cannot be done on foot, by taxi or using public transport. We also require you to reside in Potters Bar, Borehamwood, Welham Green, Hatfield or Welwyn Garden City or surrounding villages. We are a franchise operation and this is our designated area we work within. We are seeking people who have a sense of humour, empathy, kindness and who are decisive and have a wealth of common sense. You will be bringing order into a vulnerable person life so you will have responsibilities. Qualifications Clear and concise verbal communication skills, very important because your clients may have dementia or hearing loss and they struggle to understand at the best of times. Ability and desire to undertake our Award Winning Training Programme, where you will learn about, CRP, Dementia Training, End of Life Training and so much more. If you ultimately wish to gain formal qualifications in CAREGiving we will be happy to encourage you to do so. Additional Information As a CAREGiver, you will receive industry leading training, great rates of pay and excellent support from a caring team.
