Job Description

Role summary: This is a full-time role based at our client's site within easily commutable distance from Foresterhill. The purpose of the role is to provide an in -house focal point to enhance the delivery and meet our client's business needs for communication, compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements, medic management, OH program management, IH program services and non-conformance management. The focal point will provide direct access to Iqarus suite of programs and capabilities to assist with compliance. Day to day guidance in the role will be from the client OHIH Specialist. Main duties and responsibilities: Offshore Service Focus in conjunction with Iqarus' Operations Teams: Management and direction of clinical and occupational health tasks of OHA medics Oversee OHA medic training, ensure competencies are checked, provide individual support as requested Organisation of medic delivered training programs Ensure provision of and compliance with medical standing orders including prescription only medicines and controlled drugs Medical equipment and devices: procurement, service and calibration. Medevac and medical transfer case management. Medical and OH-related requests from OIM, safety reps, superintendents etc. TAR support including contractor training ahead of mobilisation. Procedures that require to be complied with will include: o Asbestos o Hearing conservation o Clinical waste o Occupational health & hygiene management o Confined space entry & breaking of containment o Potable water & Legionella o Controlled drugs Manual handling o Display screen equipment o Medevac & medical transfer o Drug & alcohol o Management of gastrointestinal illnesses o Hand, arm vibration Work-related stress and mental health o Hazardous substances Working with radiation o Health surveillance & monitoring Working in harsh environments Onshore Service Focus in Conjunction with Iqarus Account Management and Onshore Operations Team: Contract management: Performance reviews, account management, invoicing, pricing/delivery of specialist services, updates and NCR management directly with the client Travel health: Managing relationship with service company facilities with regard to the delivery of travel health consultations & appointments in Aberdeen & Uxbridge, provide pre and post-travel health resources, support the investigation of travel-related incidents & ill health. Support implementation of Travel Health Management Programme. Health service appointments: Support HR & individuals with appointments, referrals, reports, implementing recommendations etc. Display screen equipment: manage referrals for workstation assessment and oversee implementation and roll out of DSE programme. HSE&A Department: support the OHIH specialist. Work-related stress and mental health: provide access to specialists within the service provider as required OHIH Compliance: Provide support to OHIH Specialist to access the service provider resources and expertise to develop programs and schedules for complying with COSHH, HAVS, Radiation, Legionella, DSE requirements and others as required Health promotion: develop resources as appropriate, e.g. seasonal epidemics, smoking. Qualifications: Essential: Medically trained and a member of recognised professional medical body Working knowledge of company service capabilities for both occupational health and hygiene Experience of managing contract interfaces Preferred: Occupational Health Qualification and experience Experience of managing medics
