Accounts Expense Clerk Salary: £Competitive + Excellent Benefits (pension, healthcare etc.) About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Expense Clerk to join our rapidly expanding Finance team in Knutsford, Cheshire. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to start building a long-term career within Finance and wants a global company to support them along the way. You will be responsible for reviewing, coding and approving all employee expense and credit card submissions across the group. This includes all employees within the UK, US and Switzerland. What you'll do * Checking & coding high volume of expenses in line with the company policy * Dealing with expense discrepancies and employee queries, in a timely, polite & professional manner * Approving & monitoring of employee expenses * Management of credit card submissions and reconciliations * Limit overdue expense claims and credit card submissions * Assist with the new process implementation * Preparation of reports * Be main point of contact for business in relation to expenses and to build up a good rapport with employees over their expenses and provide assistance and guidance with any expense queries that may arise About you * The successful candidate must be computer literate with excellent excel skills, be confident in learning new systems and have an understanding of accounting software principles. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge where appropriate * Excellent attention to detail * Well organised with the ability to work under pressure * Highly numerate * Proven knowledge of VAT to ensure it is reclaimed and processed accurately * Team player * A self-starter with a positive "can do" attitude and a down to earth approachable manner * Ability to work accurately in a busy, demanding environment, whist adhering to deadlines Benefits We offer a creative, supportive environment with a uniquely diverse career structure where you will be able to continuously develop.
