Shionogi has invested a higher proportion of its revenue on anti-infective R&D than other companies recently evaluated, our treatments are well recognised. Through innovation and collective working, this has allowed us to have a growing product base across Europe. We have exciting plans to launch three new hospital speciality products in 2020, with our new antibiotic recently approved. As a key member of the Speciality Hospital Products team, you will support Medical Affairs operations and strategy for infectious diseases across the European region. You will provide high quality, comprehensive, technical and scientific services for external and internal customers. Working with the team you will be responsible for implementing the medical strategy across Europe, liaising closely with colleagues in our affiliate operations. Your main duties will include: * Contribute to the development of the commercial and business strategy of Shionogi Europe for the Infectious Diseases therapy area * Development of the European Medical strategic plan with the medical affairs team in alignment with the brand plan for selected company products * Medical lead for the EU brand team for Infectious Diseases products * Provide strategic and medical input to affiliate Medical teams to ensure local affiliate medical plans are aligned with regional and global strategy. * Ensure execution of medical tactics across the region * Annual budget planning for and long range financial plan for the Medical department /specific compound and ensure its achievement after approval * To co-ordinate and provide training/materials and medical support to affiliate customer facing teams * To manage early access programs and compassionate use requests directly and contracts with associated CRO/vendor. To be successful in the role, you will be a self-starter, who can build relationships with colleagues, work autonomously and have a real can-do approach. We need you to have: * Qualified as a Medical Doctor * Clinical experience ideally in Infectious Diseases/Intensive care/Respiratory medicine/Public Health * Experience in a pharmaceutical company medical department * Experience in working above country in regional/global role.
