Work with Adolescence between the ages of 10 - 17 A London based Local Authority has created an innovative service in order to tackle emerging issues specifically amongst Adolescence between the age of 10 - 17 Highlights: * This post is based in the London region * The team specifically works with Adolescence and service users at the Edge of Care who maybe challenging to engage with * Service users that the team work with are typically between the ages of 11-17 * Will be working closely with Functional Family Therapists (FFT) specifically with service users who maybe exploited by gangs as a part of a new trial which is the first team to be established outside the USA * This is an Innovative multi disciplinary team * Local Authority achieved an Outstanding Ofsted during its last inspection in 2019 * You will be working in a very well resourced Local Authority which has excellent resources that Social Workers and service users have access to in order to support with cases. * Managers have created conditions that afford Social Workers the time, professional expertise and capacity to get to know children and young people well and exercise their professional expertise. * Caseloads in the team are very well managed and as a Senior Practitioner or Practice Manager you will be involved with case allocation * This is an innovative service which offer proactive and empowering models for families to prevent these young people becoming Looked After by the Local Authority * Currently the team is developing a sophisticated exploitation mapping process which you can be involved in This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join a high performing and innovative Local Authority, which achieved Outstanding in its last Ofsted inspection in 2019. This post is in a newly created team that was created to address emerging issues amongst adolescence. Furthermore the team have partnered with an organisation which specifically works with this service user group to provide specialist psychological support and this is the 1st partnership of this nature to be established outside of the USA. The team aim to work with service users to prevent them being Looked After and so far have had a really positive impact, which was also highlighted in their Ofsted report. As a Senior Practitioner you will be working with young people who maybe at risk of exploitation and coordinating a multi agency response to these cases.
