As a Regional Accountant you will be the single point of contact between the Finance Group and the regional finance teams, maintaining service quality and audit standards while concentrating on automation and standardisation. You will have the opportunity to drive operational improvements and provide training and development to others, while ensuring that the monthly US GAAP financials for the country are prepared accurately and on time! IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: * Upload the P&L/BS including statistical and product group data for European sites into the reporting system (HFM) and reconcile to the TB/GL in transactional system (Oracle) to tight deadlines; * Drive execution of the month end cycle with a particular focus on automation and standardisation; * Ensure financial integrity of the Balance sheet including; * regular financial & balance sheet reviews in conjunction with the regional teams; * reviewing and finalising the period end intercompany balance matching process and Goods in Transit (GIT) accrual; * ownership of the balance sheet control reconciliations including investigation of reconciling items to clear in a timely manner; * Analyse Shared Service Centre (SSC) KPI data, identify adverse trends, presenting these succinctly to management and collaborate to identify and address root causes; * Manage the scheduled and manual payments process for your region and approve payments regularly; * Handle individual SSC accesses to the sites banking software in accordance with corporate policy and procedures (CP * Work closely with internal and external auditors; * Supervise the work of SSC colleagues both locally and remotely, develop and train this work *
