Overview

My client is the UK’s leading and most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years, a British company using sustainable, British timber. Most of the timber they use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland. They have over 500 employees and you’ll find their products in over 3000 retail outlets and across the web. My client is recruiting for 2x Regional Account Executives. One covering South West England and South Wales. The other is covering the Midlands of England and North Wales. Both roles will be managing an existing portfolio of Garden Centre and Builders Merchant accounts, in particular Travis Perkins. As a regional account executive, you'll assume responsibilities for trade & garden centre accounts as agreed by your manager, you will as part of your duties agreed with your line manager complete sales visits, reports and administration across allocated trade & garden centre accounts. Initially you will be responsible for the growth of existing accounts and opening new accounts within the region, you will report directly to the Sales Manager. The Role Managing existing trade & garden centre accounts. Dealing with all aspects of sales campaigns Generate new business throughout the region in accordance with an agreed target list Leading project management activity as required Achieving sales targets/budgets. Delivering sales presentations to all levels of the trade & garden centre network Maintaining and expanding relationships throughout the network of the accounts Completing administrative work, as required. Briefing the marketing team to produce agreed requirements for you and the RSE’s. Establishing the Sector proposal, to include range, POS, presentations, merchandising and reporting. Attend & participate in company sales meetings, shows & departmental meetings as required. Deliver leakage trading to the company Deliver promotional trading to the company Arrange & manage any trading days and/or road-show activity within your accounts. Arrange & manage any conferences within your accounts Maintain proficient use of internal reporting software, including Sales I (Sales I is our CRM system) to the benefit of the company Produce, maintain & deliver a business plans for your account/s. The Person Good spoken and written communication skills Strong presentation and negotiation skills Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner Good organisational and time management skills Good 'people skills', for working with a range of colleagues and customers Maintaining a professional & business-like manner at all times Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets. Good numerical, IT and report writing skills A full driving licence. Must have experience of the Garden Centre or Builders Merchant Channels - Essential Must be based in either South West or Midlands of England
