Company Description Overview Specialist role Designer Summary of the work Digital Service Designer required for agile project, delivering a specific service as part of a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled digital team. Latest start date ASAP Region West Midlands Organisation the work is for Office of the Public Guardian (MOJ) Job Description About the work Who the specialist will work with The Digital Deputyship team is comprised of Product Owner, Delivery Manager, User researcher, Front End Developer, Back End Developer, and UX Designer. What the specialist will work on * Work as part of a multi-disciplined team to design user focussed and successful services * Deliver designs that meet web standards, ensuring that key elements are built in from the outset * Contributing to the development and continual enhancement of products * Partnering with colleagues to facilitate a consistent user experience. Work setup Address where the work will take place Across three sites in Nottingham, Birmingham with potential for occasional travel to London Working arrangements Onsite in Birmingham or Nottingham office 3 days a week for face-to-face meetings Security clearance DBS Standard Qualifications Skills and experience Technical competence: essential skills and experience * Experience of using lean UX/Agile tools, techniques and a passion for working as part of an agile team * Experience of working at both ends of the scale, from the big picture, high level flows and journeys to the detail of individual elements on screen. * Experience designing for different screen sizes and input methods (e.g touch, mouse and keystroke) * Visual design capability * Experience of delivering useful, usable and delightful digital services based on the culmination of end user and stakeholder requirements + existing technology constraints / limitations / opportunities * Strong foundation in User-Centred Design with an ability to identify user needs, business requirements and create and iterate design solutions.
