Overview
Job Description
Overview / Responsibilities: Senior Associates actively contribute to all phases of client engagements including strategic, financial and organizational analysis; development and evaluation of recommendations; and implementation of solutions. From day one, the Senior Associate takes on responsibility for analyzing and advising our clients on the most strategic and complex issues they face, and is exposed to all levels within a client organization through the process. He or she will be responsible for managing project workstreams and must communicate effectively with mid- and senior-level clients to build consensus and influence while also leading and coaching junior consultants. Senior Associates also participate in firm development and decision-making, and are given the opportunity to take leadership roles in a variety of firm management activities. Desired Qualifications: * Previous experience in strategy consulting * Minimum 3 years of total relevant experience in: * Consulting * Finance (M&A, corporate finance, due diligence) * Industry (Sector-specific expertise, or strategy/business development role within blue chip company) * Experience analyzing financial information and developing advice for client companies, including using financial forecasting methods and translating complex financial principles * Experience building complex analytical models relating to the drivers of profitability for firms and the market * Expertise in writing presentations and presenting strategies and objectives in a manner which is comprehensive, concise and clear * Evidence of successful team work and team leadership * A genuine (and well-motivated) interest in consulting and Marakon * MBA from a top-tier school and / or evidence of experience and promotion to MBA level position About Marakon: Marakon is a boutique strategy consulting firm that works with CEOs of some of the world's best known companies to tackle their toughest business challenges.
