Above all, you have to put your team first, and you should be looking to align your personal goals with making your team the best that it can be. In any leadership position it is important to recognise that your energy sets the tone for the team, this is especially important within a productivity driven sales environment and you must be a positive role model at all times. Empathy is key, you will need to have develop emotional intelligence which allows you to lead others effectively and be able to celebrate individual and team success whilst displaying humility at all times. Continuous improvement is also very important to this role so you must enjoy learning new things and hearing about new ways of working. Growth mindset is what we are looking for. All of this must be underpinned by being highly organised and being able to manage the administrative requirements of my role alongside the people management elements. Ultimately this is a highly pressured role with a heavy focus on performance metrics linked to your own and your teams performance so you have to be comfortable with constant feedback and KPI management. We have more than doubled our sales team in the last 6 months so this role comes with the opportunity to contribute to our continued growth and be part of a really exciting time here at The Fuel Store.
