Job Description

Are you a Registered Nurse with experience or an interest in Ophthalmology. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team in ophthalmology in Orsett to help maintain the high standards of care we strive for within Ophthalmology. You will help formulate and carry out effective care for our patients and ensure they are delivered to the highest possible level. You will be a motivated team orientated professional with a passion for delivering good nursing care in a dynamic and innovative theatre environment. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork. Ophthalmology are responsible for providing specialist ophthalmic care for the population of South Essex across two sites; we offer a 24 hour emergency service which you may become part of once you have become competent and confident in your practice. This department will offer you the opportunity to develop in your role within a dynamic team. There is also the opportunity to rotate and gain experience in the Ophthalmology theatres, clinics and day care ward as well as rotate across to Southend Eye Unit. This position is permanent, 37.5 hours per week. The shift pattern will consist of days and on call duties, covering evenings and weekends.
