Overview
Job Description
Salary - Up to 35,000 depending on experience Duration - Permanent Closing date - 16 June 2020 Contact - 0131 245 1000 Are you passionate about insight and data? Is 'analytical' your middle name? Do you love spotting the trends to create the wider picture and tell the story? If so, we have an exciting opportunity in our Customer Proposition team. What we do The Standard Life brand has resonated in the pension and savings space for a long time now, but that doesn't mean that we can sit back and relax. We are approaching our markets with a renewed sense of purpose and ambition, and are looking to evolve our customer propositions in line with changes in our customers' needs to get, and stay, ahead of the game. Our UK Proposition team is tasked with doing exactly that. The team sets the direction for how we meet the needs of our clients and our customers, and how best we engage them in doing so. We have got two exciting opportunities for Proposition Consultants in our Customer Proposition team to help us shape our customer insight and behaviour programme to manage and develop our offerings. What we're looking for This role is central to our purpose of helping our customers achieve the best outcomes. You will immerse yourself in our proposition and how customers are using it, leading the charge in identifying where we could do more and where we could do better. We are looking for an individual who can analyse and understand our customer behaviours and the impact of our customer propositions and communications. You'll support and prioritise areas for deeper analysis and drive improvements in our management information and data developments. We'll expect you to identify areas for improvement and tell our customer story to key committees, forums and stakeholders. So what are the key talents we're looking for in a Proposition Analyst? Did we mention analytical? It's second nature to you. You are in your element working with a variety of data sources, joining the dots and drawing conclusions. Customer centric: you champion the importance of a data and insight-led approach to help enhance and improve the offer to deliver the best outcomes for the customer. A great storyteller: not only can you spot the trends, your impressive communication skills means you are able to play your conclusions back to a variety of stakeholders in an engaging way. Seeing the bigger picture: you don't need to be Nostradamus, but we do need you to have a handle on the key trends and drivers in the industry, and understand how these impact customer behaviours and needs. Constantly curious: you'll find yourself thinking "I wonder if...", and coming out with a new way of doing things that has never occurred to us. You're happy to challenge the status quo if you think there is a better way of doing something. Passionate advocate: your enthusiasm and belief in your work really comes across and you are comfortable showcasing to colleagues, senior stakeholders and our clients. A good judge: You can identify the areas we should be concerned about and help filter out the areas we shouldn't. People are more than qualifications. So we might like (but certainly won't insist on)... Being educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification A relevant business qualification Experience in UK financial services (e.g. banking, insurance, pensions) And if you are one of us then.... You do the right thing, not the easy thing As well as delivering results, you like to have a great time in your role and are always keen to bring a sense of fun to the team Being in tune with your colleagues and stakeholders comes naturally - you're the first to spot when Sam in Accounts could be doing with a cup of tea and a chat It doesn't matter what the question is, you always know who will have the answer. You are known for your ability to build and maintain great working relationships across the business on your mission to make it happen What you might be doing at the moment... Perhaps you have similar experience with consultancy firms, research agencies, insurance providers or fintech companies. Perhaps you are a veteran of the big banks or one of our competitors.
