Jump Lane Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Area Manager for one of our clients, this exciting opportunity has now arisen for a dynamic individual to join an established Senior Management Team, to ensure the smooth running of a number if our Children's Homes. We are hoping to recruit an Area Manager to provide full support to service delivery in the North West area of England their services are in line with Quality Care Standards and regulatory expectations set by the Care Inspectorate. Salary - 40,000 - 47,800 dependant on experience Bonus - 5,000 payable annually in December Additional benefits - Vehicle, Laptop, Phone, Pension and generous Private Health package with Death in Service Benefit. Our client offers short, medium and long-term placements to young people (between 8 - 18 years of age) who have experienced family or placement breakdown, emotional and behavioural difficulties or other significant interruptions in their lives. Our client provides fun, educational and stimulating care to young people in small family style homes specifically designed so that each young person feels safe and comfortable in their surroundings. Their aim is to replicate a positive family life in their homes, offering a high level of nurture taking great care to avoid feelings of isolation. Each young person is assigned a key-worker who plays a pivotal role in the young person's recovery, particularly in developing their ability to unlock their full potential. All young people, placed in their care, receive first-class education at one of their Independent Schools, Eden Park Academy. Their schools are dedicated to furthering pupils' knowledge, literacy and grades. Role Purpose: Leading teams to deliver outstanding operational standards in line with the following: * Children's Homes Regulations, * National Quality Standards * Company Policies and Procedures * Employee Handbook * Holds the position of the 'Responsible Individual' approved by the regulatory body * People Succession Plan - Recruit, Retain, Train & Develop * Individual Home Plans - Company specific goals and objectives * Full Occupancy in every home * Self-Development - Personal Development Plan * Role model key behaviours and external representations Key result areas/role objectives: Performance * Communicates the regional business plan to the team ensuring clarity, focus, ownership and deliverables. * Coaches and develops home managers to build strong, performance improving business plans specific to their homes. * Understands the internal and external levers that drive revenues ensuring prudent cost controls are in place. * Shares 'best practice' enabling exceptional standards of operation within a safe and legal framework in every home. * Visits homes with a clear 'Purpose' ensuring value added input through a high challenge - high support leadership style. Leading Change * Creates a compelling vision for change aligned to key business priorities, improvement and direction from their line manager. * Plays a key role in ensuring all policies, procedures are up to date and simple to implement. Succession Planning * Drives a regional succession plan, retain key people, builds talent for the future and challenges under performance. Role Model * Brand ambassador for their teams and external contacts. * Works with peer group and shares best practice. * Takes a lead role in key discussion ensuring an agreed national outcome with a collaborative and flexible leadership style and approach. * Provides a strong feedback loop to home managers regarding performance. * Provides upward feedback to the Head of Operations on initiatives, ideas, improvements, process simplification, infrastructure gaps and regional support.
