Job Description
. Chemviron Carbon, the European operations of Calgon Carbon Corporation, is a global manufacturer, supplier, and developer of granular activated carbon, innovative treatment systems, value-added technologies and services for optimising production processes and safely purifying the environment. The company has production facilities in Europe, USA and Asia. The role The aim of the role is to support our growing business, we are now looking to recruit a Field Service Technician based either in the North West of England or in the midlands, to carry out the to achieve the planned level of operational utilization. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the successful candidate will spend much of their time, hands on, working on site carrying out carbon transfer operations for bulk tanker collections and deliveries of virgin and reactivated carbons which may include site assessments prior to work taking place. The role is service focused and a high attention to good customer site relations is required. The aim of this role is to: Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency of operations Monitor, record and optimize process conditions Safety, environmental and quality standards. Comply with all EHS standards, operating procedures, company policies and local legislation.Follow ISO procedures and propose new ideas for continuous improvement. Will help to co-ordinate site activities between Logistics, Production, Customer Service and Field Service teams and maintain relevant customer site data for contacts, filter and access details etc. Will be expected to adhere to Company and customer site HSE policies and procedures. Previous HSE training and experience are an advantage. Will need to be computer literate (Excel and Word experience) with numeracy and literacy skills and have an ability to analyse and check information for accuracy. The successful applicant will have: 1.City & Guilds/NVQ in maintenance/repair or similar application 2.Must have proven experience with similar practical and site skills 3.Excellent customer relations, with strong interpersonal and communication skills 4.A positive and enthusiastic attitude and self motivated 5.Well organised, reliable, able to follow instructions with excellent timekeeping. 6.Clean Driving Licence as frequent travel is required 7.Comfortable working alone or as part of a team 8.Be able to commit to at least 3 nights away a week Responsibilities: .
