INTERNATIONAL SERVICE ENGINEER x2 | WIGAN £33,000 - £38,000 BONUS OVERTIME WORKING AWAY BONUS ALL EXPENSES PAID CAR FLEXI-TIME PENSION Working on mechanical machinery across mainly Europe and the Middle East. locations include, Spain, Austria, Italy, Turkey, Israel, Saudi and Egypt. Given good autonomy and flexibility. Previous experience working as a Service Engineer, dealing directly with customers. Our client is an SME based in the Merseyside area who have been established for over 50 years and is are owned by a global engineering organisation. They are the most successful and profitable business in their group and have a lot of autonomy to grow their business as they see fit, with the wider group backing them where needed. They design and manufacture mechanical machinery for the chemical and pharma industries. In terms of the culture, it is a very professional environment where they have an excellent reputation in the market. Although they are owned by a large corpoorate organisation, they still have a personal feel where every knows is on first name terms. In terms of the job itself and what a typical project would look like, either an existing or new customer will send an enquiry through and you will be involved in the process from the early stages. Sales will generate an initial quotation, then you and an Applications Engineer will visit the customer site to understand and advise on what is needed. From here, you will act as the technical point of contact with the A.E, working on-site to either service or install the machines. On average you will be away for between 4 - 10 days max, and it is rare that you would be away for more than two weeks in a month. The ability to build relationships with the customers you work with is important. To be right for this assignment you will need to have the following background: Mechanically trained - HNC/HND minimum. Experience servicing and maintaining machinery. Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking directly with customers is essential. Good report writing skills and proficient with Excel and Word. Experience generating quotations or proposals would be beneficial.
