Site Logistics Manager Location: HS2 - Euston Station Department: Delivery Post Reports To: Logistic Manager Contractual Hours : 40 per week Job summary The Site Logistics Manager is responsible for all aspects of the facilities and logistics on Euston Station site, including supply chain, development and optimisation of site logistics solutions in coordination with the Road and Rail Logistic Managers to meet the needs of the project. The Site Logistics Manager is required to manage the installation of site accommodation and manage these facilities, movement of people, goods and equipment within the construction site, storage areas and warehouse, ensuring compliance with the Construction Management Plan. The Site Logistics Manager ensures the construction team is fully aware of logistics activities in support of the build program. Responsibility extends to ensuring that the works are carried out in a safe manner with due regard to the protection of the workforce, public and the environment, and in compliance with the HS&W Management Plan and the relevant WIs. Key responsibilities * Ensuring effective planning, directing and coordination with the construction and logistic teams. * Plan internal logistics routes through the project phases in coordination with the construction team, focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery and people and compliance with the HS&W Plan, Environmental Plan and WI1700. * Use the look-ahead programmes to produce daily, weekly and long term movements plans * Responsible for ensuring road logistics activities are not a constraining factor on the program, where deemed unavoidable ensuring the issues are communicated in order that de-confliction can occur. * Responsible for all traffic management internally and externally, weighbridges and road network cleanliness. * Manage installation of site accommodation and manage these facilities * Describe the characteristics of the site, including site access /egress, storage capacity and arrangement by programme, labour, hoists, cranes etc and use the description to produce daily, weekly and long term movements plans. * Plan and integrate with key contractors and the construction team to meet the needs of the planned programme and de-confliction of on-site space and time where appropriate. * Create, maintain and update the Site Emergency Plan (including the Site Fire Plan) reporting to the appointed site fire officer. * Maintain fire points and all common life-saving equipment and define and organise all site signage. * Plan to and maximise load capacity on all vehicles arriving at site were possible, ensure suppliers use appropriate vehicles for delivery. * Ensure that drivers and vehicles meet the required standards before being accepted to site. * Maintain an asset register of all equipment, ensuring all equipment is inspected, maintained and tested to agreed frequencies * Have a knowledge of hoists and cranes, and create and agree booking system to manage their capacity * Create, maintain and regularly update the Site Waste Management Plan to ensure the safe and efficient removal of waste from the project. * Provide input in the selection of a delivery management technique, process and system. *
