Job Description
The Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Google's global network, web-scale data centers and software infrastructure. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of businesses of all sizes use technology to connect with customers, employees and partners. As a Mainframe Solutions Specialist, you will bring your experience and thought leadership to drive vision, mission, and strategy around mainframe-to-Google Cloud Product solutions. You engage directly with our largest customers to facilitate business transformation, map success patterns, publish assets to scale your knowledge and persuade investment in Google Cloud. You will develop materials to support new solutions initiatives with a broad cross-functional group of stakeholders, including product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams, to help define use cases and their growth strategy at Google Cloud. You will showcase thought leadership by identifying and understanding mainframe markets to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new solutions and use cases. You will help ensure technical and commercial readiness of these solutions, including assets to enable the go-to-market teams, and provide field feedback to the product and engineering teams to help shape product direction. You will interface directly with customers both helping them understand mainframe migrations to Google Cloud Products and gather their feedback. Finally, you will enable the sales team and counsel partners on the best way to position mainframe-to-Google Cloud Product solutions, explain technical features, and problem-solve potential roadblocks on Google Cloud.
