Job Description

This is an exciting time to join our HSJ Awards shortlisted Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Placement Service ( RAPS). This service sits within a well established community acquired brain injury team which is clinically led by an 8d Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist. The wider team of 16 staff consists of vocational occupational therapists, case managers , neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists and assistant psychologists. The team base is at the Countess of Chester Health Park but the successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively across Cheshire and the North West. In addition to a small community case load the post holder's main responsibilities will be focused on joint clinical oversight of new referrals to RAPS, review of placements including safeguarding, capacity and risk assessment issues. Placement reviews with Independent Health Sector Providers are held at weeks 6 and 12 on a rolling programme. A key aspect of the role is to also provide support to families and carers. The ideal applicant would have extensive experience of neuro-rehabilitation in a variety of settings. They will also have a good understanding of research and audit processes.
