Simpsons Malt are the UK's leading, independent malting Company, with 150+ years of successful supply to brewers and distillers with a customer range from the smallest craft & micro brewers to multi-nationals in the UK and around the world. Simpsons Malt Limited works within agriculture as a grain merchant, but also has well invested manufacturing operations in Norfolk and on the Scottish Border to supply speciality malts to customers in brewing and distilling. Our customer base stretches around the world, with export a rapidly rising feature and can range from the small craft micro brewer through to blue chip multi national distillers. Within manufacturing there is the move towards excellence and the use of "lean" tools such as 5S that you would expect. You would be based at our Tivetshall Maltings near Diss, which very much focuses on the supply of malt to the brewing industry.The site has received significant investment in recent years to grow capacity and while investment will continue the focus of this role will require someone who can demonstrate a track record of success in the organisation t o manage a portfolio of projects from inception to completion , ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Your duties and responsibilities will be: * Agreeing and implementing the project delivery strategy * Forecasting resource and material requirements * Monitoring project costs and delivery * Managing contractor performance * Liaising with Site Management Teams, Engineering, Production etc. as required to ensure all aspects of the project are communicated effectively with technical guidance where required * Coordinating and leading projects, providing the necessary direction, targets and milestones * Ensuring key functions of the project delivery are in place encompassing Health, Safety and Environmental compliance at all times for the entire site team and visitors Principal Accountabilities: * Delivering a project / portfolio of projects from inception to completion to time, quality and cost maintaining the highest levels of safety and environmental management * Ensuring quality through audits of work, technical competencies, adherence to specifications, compliance with testing and commissioning procedures and safety and environmental procedures * Producing delivery plans and ensuring adequate provision of direct / contract resources, materials and services to ensure that project programmes are maintained * Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that all projects are managed from inception to completion * Ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard * Ensuring that all workers engaged on the projects / portfolio of projects are fully aware of all safety and environmental requirements * Crafting project management documentations and work/resource plans Skills and Knowledge Requirements: * Proficient in all Microsoft packages * Prince 2, APM or PMP qualified or equivalent * Previous experience of working in a Project Manager role in a manufacturing environment * Excellent communicator with experience working with internal and external partners * Full clean driving licence Benefits: Bonus scheme Life insurance Private medical/dental insurance Job Types: Full-time, Temporary for 18 months initially Salary - competitive Responsibilities: Simpsons Malt are the UK's leading, independent malting Company, with 150+ years of successful supply to brewers and distillers with a customer range from the smallest craft & micro brewers to multi-nationals in the UK and around the world.
