Job Description
Are you looking for an IT career in an exciting, fast paced and rapidly growing industry? Network engineering is a constantly changing industry, where a willingness to learn and a keenness to stay on top of new and innovative technologies is essential. Entanet are entering into an exciting time, developing and managing our own national fibre network to rival the likes of BT and Virgin. What would my role include? You will have the responsibility of setting up, developing and maintaining our national fibre network; working with the likes of Vodafone to install, maintain and troubleshoot Customer and Core Network equipment such as routers, switches, circuits, servers, firewalls and hosting systems, both physical and virtual. You will work with a variety of network types, such as: * LANs - local area networks, linking a limited area such as a home, office or a small group of buildings.. * WANs - wide area networks, which link nationally or internationally. * WLAN - wireless local area network. * PWAN - private wide area network, which provide a full customer office connection solution. * VoIP - voice over internet protocol network. You will be exposed to a variety of technologies, including but not limited to Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel and Huawei to name but a few.
